Makerly wasn't started as an agency. It was born from the experience of building an ambitious IoT company from the ground up.
8 years ago, we set out to build an ambitious hardware integrated platform. Like most early stage founders, we hit the "Hardware Wall" almost immediately.
We navigated the classic traps: the 6-month hiring cycles for top-tier firmware engineers, the massive capital requirements of US-based design firms, and the devastating "execution gap" between a functional prototype and a production-ready system.
To survive, we had to rethink the engineering model. We spent years identifying, vetting, and integrating senior technical talent in global hubs like Israel and Ukraine. We learned how to maintain US(San Diego) level oversight while leveraging global-scale engineering velocity.
Makerly is the studio we wished we could have hired. We exist to solve the three core risks that VCs and Founders fear most:
Accessing senior-only engineering talent immediately, without the 6-month recruitment burn.
Maximizing technical runway by leveraging a global-domestic hybrid execution model.
Engineering codebases and hardware that are built to survive VC technical audit from Day 1.
Transitioning from "VC-friendly prototypes" to "Production-ready systems" with zero momentum loss.
